Rhubarb Spritz
As the summer months heat up and the Rhubarb starts to sprout like crazy, it's time to put it to good use. What better way than a deliciously sweet and sharp tang of a Rhubarb Spritz?!
Ingredients (per glass)
- 0.75 fl oz/20ml Bittersweet Aperitivo
- 1 fl oz/30ml Rhubarb Syrup*
- 2.5 fl oz/45ml Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay
- 1 oz/30ml Club Soda
Method
- Pour all ingredients into a wine glass
- Add ice and stir twice
- Garnish with a long thin slice/peel of rhubarb
Tips
*If you're looking to make your own Rhubarb syrup, then combine 35oz/1kg of washed and chopped rhubarb, 16 fl oz / 500ml water, 1 tablespoon of agave syrup or honey and, if desired, one vanilla bean pod, split. Bring to boil until the Rhubarb breaks down then stir. Blend until smooth.
