'Overcrowding in the category remains a concern too. Amanda Thomson, self-confessed former ‘wine-snob’ and founder/CEO of zero-alcohol brand Noughty, says: “The marketing noise is much louder now as everyone is piling into the category and thinking there’s a quick buck to be made.
"I say, focus on the liquid and only the quality of the liquid initially. It’s easy to sell anything once. Volume here is hard won. Consumers are smart. “Also, the next conversation will be focused on the high sugar levels in some non-alcoholic products. I’d argue there’s little point replacing alcohol with a sugar addiction.”'.
