British Consulate General in Toronto Toasted the Coronation with Noughty!
On Saturday May 13th, the British Consulate General in Toronto hosted a Great British Garden Party. The event, in celebration of the recent Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen, brought together members of the Toronto community, including Her Honour Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell, and Ontario Government Ministers Stephen Lecce and Charmine Williams. The event’s festivities featured some of the best of British music, food, and drink, as well as a massive coronation cake fit for the King. And Noughty Non-alcoholic Sparkling Wine was at the centre of the party!
With the Coronation being a significant cultural event and a shared moment in history for both the United Kingdom and Canada, the garden party served as a reminder of the strength and enduring nature of the friendship between Canada and the UK. The event also coincided with this year’s Eurovision Song Contest hosted by the UK and the BBC in Liverpool, a UNESCO City of Music, on behalf of Ukraine. With this year’s slogan “United by Music”, the UK is a long-standing supporter of Ukraine and we are proud to be hosting Eurovision on their behalf.
