Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay Served at the British Embassy in Washington

Earlier this month, Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay was poured at a special GREAT Food & Drink reception at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by His Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States, Sir Christian Turner, brought together around 250 guests from across the American food and beverage industry.

The reception marked the launch of a new UK beef export quota to the United States and took place alongside the Annual Meat Conference. Among those attending was Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Emma Reynolds, alongside buyers, importers, industry bodies, diplomats and leading food and drink influencers. The evening celebrated the breadth and quality of British produce being showcased to the US market.

Guests sampled a wide range of premium British products including beef, lamb, seafood, English sparkling wines, cheeses and whisky. Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay was served as the non-alcoholic wine option, offering guests a refined alternative that reflects the growing global demand for premium alcohol-free choices - particularly at prestigious events such as these.

Made from carefully selected Chardonnay grapes and crafted using traditional winemaking methods before the alcohol is gently removed, Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay delivers the structure, balance and celebratory character expected from a fine sparkling wine. Its presence at the British Embassy reception highlighted how alcohol-free wines are becoming an increasingly important part of the modern drinks landscape.

Events such as this demonstrate how British food and drink producers are evolving to meet changing consumer preferences. As more consumers look for sophisticated alcohol-free options, it was a pleasure to see Noughty included among the producers representing the best of the UK at such a high-profile diplomatic gathering.

From embassy receptions to Michelin-starred restaurants and leading retailers around the world, Noughty continues to prove that great wine experiences don’t need alcohol to be memorable.
