Noughty Sponsors Club Soda's Mindful Drinking Festival - 9-10 July in Brighton
Thomson & Scott Noughty is proud to be sponsoring Club Soda's Mindful Drinking Festival that takes place at The Open Market in Brighton across 9-10 July.
Along with a select group of lobally recognised brands, we are backing Club Soda’s tenth and Brighton’s first two-day celebration of the world’s best Low & No alcohol drinks.
Hosted by mindful drinking movement, Club Soda, and held at Brighton’s famous Open Market, international drinks companies Noughty Wines, Heineken 0.0, Lyre’s Spirits, Beer and mixer brand Double Dutch each join the free-to-attend festival as headline sponsors for 2022, joining over 40 Low & No alcohol brands exhibiting at the event.
Although the Mindful Drinking Festival arrives in Brighton for the first time this year, this will be Club Soda’s incredible tenth festival. Visitors to the event will be treated to:
- Opportunities to try a wide range of low and no alcohol drinks, including Low & No alternatives to cocktails, beers, and spirits
- Cocktail masterclasses, beer tastings and drink talks with local experts
- Inspirational talks and panels with influencers and experts on changing drinking habits and boosting wellbeing
Panels and speakers are being hosted in Presuming Eds, next to the market, and keynote speakers include comedian Rosie Wilby, author of The Breakup Monologues, US-based author and psychotherapist, Veronica Valli, of the Soberful Podcast, and Dru Jaeger, author of How to Be A Mindful Drinker. Masterclasses will be led by experts including BBC Radio Sussex’s drinks reviewer Jane Peyton and local beer writer Emma Inch.
The festival gives anyone looking to discover new drinks the opportunity to taste the best in the growing Low & No market, including craft beers, wines, spirits, lower-sugar sodas, tonics and infusions.
The boom in Low & No alcohol drinks has been fuelled by the 25 million people in the UK changing their drinking habits. Not happy to put-up with a compromise drink when at home or going out, mindful drinkers of all kinds are reaching for the new wave of alcohol-free options available.
While overall alcohol consumption has declined, the Low & No alcohol market is continuing to expand, with consumption expected to grow 31% by 2024, according to the IWSR..
“A festival in Brighton has been a long-time in the works and we are so glad this is our first big event after Covid," says Club Soda founder Laura Willoughby MBE. "You don’t have to be alcohol-free come along, you may just want to swap out a few alcoholic drinks for something a bit healthier. So, whether you’re going sugar-free, on a fitness regime, drinking more mindfully, or going alcohol-free, we know you will find something to hit the spot.”
Amanda Thomson, Founder of Noughty Alcohol Free Sparkling Wines, added - “It’s such a pleasure to be partnering with Club Soda for this inspired festival. Brighton is the perfect summer location for our alcohol-free bubbles. We very much look forward to popping corks with everyone in the South East!”
