Noughty Monté Non-Alcoholic Red Wine

Noughty Monté Non-Alcoholic Red Wine is an elegantly produced and  elevated Syrah wine that has been expertly dealcoholised down to less than 0.5% ABV and retains the rich flavour of this beautifully crafted bottle.

Vintage: Non vintage
Varietal: 100% Syrah grapes

Vineyards: Produced with Syrah grapes from dryland farmed vineyards in Darling, South Africa. The grapes are grown in strategically selected sites, which get the warm sunny and cooling effect of the Atlantic Ocean. Deep soils from decomposed granite and rich clay help to provide good drainage.

Winemaking: Dealcoholised to 0.5% using a gently spun cone technology under vacuum and at low temperature to ensure that the wine retains its distinctive body, colour and flavour. Some French Oak is used during malolactic fermentation and ageing to give some structure and depth to the wine. Although not a single vineyard production, we use grapes from only a couple of vineyards to give more concentration.

“Monte, Noughty’s new red’s deep, ruby colour is encouraging, and the bright blackberry aromas, with just a hint of spice, are in keeping with those found in young, fruit-driven reds. It tastes crisp and fruity, with more texture than
expected, a dry finish and a note of tannin that fills out the mid-palate nicely. Pleasingly satisfying and moreish.”

The bottle contains less than 150mg per litre of sulphites and is gluten free.
